PMP is one of the most tough exams that are out there, because it not only tests your theoretical knowledge, but it also tests you on the grounds of your practical knowledge. There is no fixed syllabus that is asked in the paper, or for that matter something that won’t be asked in the examination, as there is a book, PMBOK, that is used as the basis for asking questions in the exam, and it covers all the basics in the field of project management. PMP Auditing

Now, the PMI can audit your application anytime. PMI reserves the right to audit any candidate’s application at any given time. This process is complete random and there is no way to know that you would be audited until you actually get the notification that your profile would be audited. While a candidate is filling its application, there’s a 50% chance that your profile would be audited, and this probability keeps on decreasing once you have attained your certification. Since the candidates who get chosen for audit are completely random, there is no point in taking tension over this point, and one should just be truthful in their application.

What happens if you fail your Audit?

There are 3 ways by which a candidate can fail their PMP audit, and these are:

• No Fault :

  This means that the candidate can’t back his claim of education or work experience, as he does not have his documents to back his claim.

• Non Compliance :

  This means that the candidate chooses not to attempt the audit, when this happens, then the candidate is suspended for one year.

• Fraud :

  This means that the candidate has submitted false documents and has made claims that are not true, and if you are caught doing this, then you are permanently banned from appearing in any PMI Examinations throughout your life.

Sometimes candidates have a lot going on in their lives, and they can’t take out time to take / attenda PMP audit, then the candidate can simply not reply to the audit’s notification, this is similar to a “no contest”, then the candidate is suspended for one year, and after his suspension period ends, he can simply reapply for the examination. Although the process of auditing can be changed anytime by the PMI, but as of now, you would just be asked to submit your documents, and signatures of people who can confirm your claims. One should note that if any candidate fails his audit, then the PMI will deduct a fee of $100, and refund the balance amount paid by the candidate!
